This is the restaurant offering the highest quality at an affordable price in Cannes. We’ve been eating here annually on our summer holidays for over a decade. The Red Mullet is a stand out dish. Beautiful fillets cooked to perfection. The Octopus (Polpo), melts in your mouth, the scallops - don’t get me started (!), seared on the outside, soft as butter when you bite into them. It’s a family run husband and wife team, Bianca and Gerard who are superb hosts. We were offered shot glasses of a Lemoncello like aperitif, home made from Mandarins. Bianca is also an artist making beautifully decorated clothes shop “busts”. There are often one or two on display in the restaurant which adds panache and a touch of Moulin Rouge. In conclusion, the Chaperone Rouge is a cut above most other restaurants nearby. The fish is fresh, not frozen. A real jewel in the Crown of both Cannes and the Cote d Azure in general,
